Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar Review

The hype in the Instagram community for the summer was Quest Nutrition’s new product: Mint Chocolate Chunk! I am blessed to have a friend that was so kind enough to send me a few to try because they weren’t in stores yet.

I will be honest and say that mint chocolate isn’t one my favorite combinations. But there’s just something about the way these protein bars are made…. I loved it! 

 The rich chocolatey base is filled with morsels of mint chunks. And if you are a Quest lover (aka on a quest) you know what I mean when I say this bar was chunky! 

I really enjoyed it atop of my chocolate proyo (protein yogurt) with oats and honey almond butter. It’s like crumbling a cookie over your dessert. Yes, dessert can have lots of protein and be phenomenal! 🙌🏼  I would overall rate this a 9/10. Anyone with a good chocolate craving will be satisfied with this flavor☺️ 

Cinnamon Buns Ben & Jerry’s Review 

 Months I was searching for this flavor. Months. I went to 4 different stores around me and still could never come across it. Finally, I was in Kentucky with my family and went to the grocery store there. Didn’t think I would be lucky enough to spot this in the freeze aisle but I did!

If I recall, I think I screamed and got a little too happy…. Didn’t care how it looked, haters gonna hate.😎 Ha, I was really excited to see how it looked when I got home and let’s just say the drive was a little long.

 So. I waited a few days…..   Perfection.  I was really happy when my best friend decided she wanted to participate in my pint party and have one herself! I recommended that flavor to her because it was delicious as well!

“Caramel ice cream with cinnamon bun dough and cinnamon streusel swirl”  This was my dream. The ice cream was so creamy and sweet! It melted a lot faster than other pints I have had but I’m not complaining because it made it easier to scoop.

The gobs of cinnamon dough complimented the cream as well as the cinnamon swirl. Whether you like chunks in your ice cream or swirls, cinnamon buns gives you both!

I can say that if you haven’t had a pint of ice cream before, try making this your first! It changes you❤️

Banana Bread🍌


 When you have overly ripe bananas, don’t throw them away! I hate wasting food because that equals wasting money. You could make some amazing banana bread because it will: 
1) make the house smell delicious

2) it will make your tummy happy

3) treat yoself 😉

This bread is also full of healthy fats from the coconut oil. Studies show that in moderation, coconut oil can help boost energy, fight off infections from the lauric acid, and lower risk of heart disease.



  • 2 very ripe mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce 
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 


  • 1.5 scoops Lean Body For Her Chocolate Whey 
  • 1 cup oat flour 
  • 3 T baking stevia 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking power 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. 
  2. Mash bananas, then add the wet ingredients and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients then add to the wet mixture.
  4. Pour batter into a well sprayed loaf pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean in the middle. Makes 9 slices! 

 This was a hit with my family and I hope you try it with yours! It is so moist and perfectly sweetened.

You can also use vanilla or cinnamon  protein powder and I’m sure it will taste great 🙂

Lasts about 3-4 days in the fridge.

Cherry Vanilla Almond Granola Bars🍒

  If you don’t know already, bars are one of my favorite snacks. If we went to the grocery store and looked at the granola/protein bar section, chances are I have probably tried 90% of them. 

In my free time, I thought it would be fun to make my own to have for a yummy snack and maybe if I’m nice I’ll share with my family….

This is a great recipe for the ones with a peanut allergy because it just contains almonds.


🔸2 cups oats

🔸1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (I used Lean Body For Her Whey)

🔸1/4 cup Kolat Cherry Vanilla Almond Butter (or almond butter of choice)

🔸1/4 cup agave

🔸1 T flaxseeds

🔸1/2 cup cashew or almond milk

🔸1 tsp vanilla extract

🔸1 tsp cinnamon 

🔸1/3 cup dried cranberries 

🔸Sliced almonds for topping 

 Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a medium bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and mix well. 

In another bowl, stir together the almond butter, agave, almond/cashew milk and vanilla. Add that mixture to the dry minutes and stir until fully combined. 

Pour into a well sprayed 8X8 inch pan and spread evenly through with a spoon or spatula. 

Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for about 15-20 minutes before cutting. Makes 9 squares of granola goodness❤️

 Soft, chewy, nutty, and sweetness of the cranberries makes this a fun, portable, nutritious snack. You could easily add some chocolate chips, pumpkin seeds, extra nuts, or whatever you crave😊 


Snickerdoodle Zoats!

 I have had a couple requests for my snickerdoodle oatmeal and of course I don’t mind sharing! It’s probably one of my favorite oatmeal recipes because it’s easy, delicious, has some veggies, protein packed, and did I say DELICIOUS?! You don’t even taste the zucchini! But it sure adds some volume as well as the egg whites for fluffier oatmeal 👌 In the picture above I topped it with one of my banana chocolate chip muffins (you can find on my site as well) and Buff Bake snickerdoodle almond butter. I like my carbs…❤️

How to:

🔹2/3 cup oats

🔹1/2 cup cashew/almond milk
🔹1/2 cup water 
Microwave for 1 min 30 seconds and stir. 
Then add:
🔹3 T egg whites and cinnamon 
Stir, then microwave another minute.
Once fluffy, add about 1/2 cup shredded zucchini and 1/2 scoop Pescience Snickerdoodle whey protein and stir until fully combined. You don’t HAVE to add the zucchini because the egg whites add plenty of volume 😋

You can eat this right away but I especially love cold oats so I put it in a sealed container in the fridge overnight and enjoy in the morning 😊
Overnight snickerdoodle zoats with fresh berries and a dollop of Justin’s vanilla almond butter because I know of no other perfect breakfast😋

Almond Butter Protein Bark

  4 words: MELTS. IN. YOUR. MOUTH❤️

You literally can’t just have one, it’s so creamy and the flavor is out of this world. I just can’t put into words, you have to try yourself.   

🔹1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder(I used Lean Body For Her Whey)
🔸2 T coconut flour

🔹1/2 cup creamy almond butter(I love the brand Barney Butter) 

🔸4 T coconut oil
🔹2 T agave, maple syrup, or honey
🔸3 T chocolate chips for melting

In a medium bowl, stir together protein powder and coconut flour.

In a saucepan on medium-low heat, melt almond butter, coconut oil, and agave until mixture is smooth. Don’t overheat! Pour mixture in the dry ingredients and stir until full combined. 

Like a medium tupperware with parchment paper and pour mixture into it. Spread around with a spatula until evenly distributed. 

Microwave your chocolate chips in a bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. About 1:15 mins.
Drizzle chocolate over mixture and freeze for 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and break apart into pieces. It’s best to keep this in the freezer and take out 5 minutes before eating. I love feedback from you guys and would love to hear your thoughts when trying these recipes☺️

Choco-nana Greek Yogurt Muffins


I really was craving something sweet but not over the top. Luckily, I noticed we had some ripe bananas to make these delicious muffins!

🍌2 cups rolled or quick oats
🍌2 ripe bananas
🍌2 eggs
🍌1 cup plain greek yogurt
🍌1 T baking stevia 
🍌1 1/2 tsp baking powder
🍌1/2 tsp baking soda
🍌1/2 tsp cinnamon 
🍌About 1/4 cup mini chips 

Preheat oven to 400 F

Put all ingredients except chocolate chips in a food processor (blender is fine too but it’s just harder to scoop out) and blend until creamy and smooth.

Mix in chocolate morsels🍫
Pour batter into 12 really well sprayed muffin tins and sprinkle a few more chocolate chips on top.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Allow muffins to cool for at least 10 minutes. These can last for up to a week in an air tight container in the fridge😊

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls


Having a lot of time on my hands right now since I am no longer in school and on the hunt for a summer job. What better to do with the time than bake some yummy treats? 

These little balls of power are full of protein and healthy fats! I even added some flaxseed for some omega-3’s and fiber 👍

🔸1.5 scoops Chocolate Lean Body For Her Whey protein
🔸1/2 cup peanut butter
🔸1 cup oats
🔸2 T flaxseed
🔸1/3 cup agave syrup or honey
🔸1 tsp vanilla extract
🔸1/2 tsp cinnamon 
🔸3-4 T coconut
Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl with your hands. It is really messy work but it works the best. Form into bite sized balls and that’s it! Stick in the fridge to help them firm and enjoy yourself a chocolatey treat ☺️
Makes 12-17 power bites 💪

Black Bean Brownies

Wow, it’s been a while since I have posted a recipe. I have had so much going on in my life with college planning and job searching! But I am happier than I have been in such a long time and can say that I am ready for what life has ahead of me.    I was extremely bored one day and deciding to do some baking in my spare time. I have always wanted to try making these…. black bean brownies. 

I know you may be thinking, what? Black bean and brownie together sounds disgusting! Well, just like my “chickpea blondies” these don’t taste like black beans at all! 
Fudgy, chocolately, and full of protein! 

•1 can black beans (drained and rinsed really well)
•1 T unsweetened cocoa
•4 T chocolate protein powder (I used Lean Body For Her whey)
•1/3 cup agave or honey
•1/2 cup quick oats
•1/4 cup coconut oil
•4 packets stevia
•1/2 tsp baking powder
•2 tsp vanilla extract 
2/3 cup chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate)
Place all the ingredients in a food processor, except chocolate chips.
Blend and add about 2-3 tablespoons water or milk to loosen up a little. Make sure the batter is really blended well so there are no chunks. 

Stir in chocolate chips to the batter and transfer into a sprayed 8X8 inch pan. Top with more chocolate chips. 

Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. As hard as it is, allow to cool at least 15 minutes before serving or else it will break. 
Within an hour, they will be more firm. You can also place them in the fridge to firm them faster.
