PB & J Overnight Oats🍓

IMG_5577Overnight oats are some of my favorite oats! It’s winter time and I still mostly crave cold oatmeal! I just drink some warm tea and it evens itself out😊
As most of you know, any nut butter and oatmeal is my go-to combination. See that pool of peanut butter….. Yes 🙌

Microwave for 1:30 min:
•2/3 cup oats
•1 cup almond milk(any milk)
Take out and add 1/2 T chia seeds and berries of choice🍇🍓

Mix, cover, and set in fridge overnight.

Add cinnamon, greek yogurt, and other toppings in the morning☺️

💥By the way, if you haven’t tried nut butter in your oats, you are really missing out!

BEST COMBO EVER: BANANA AND NUT BUTTER

IMG_5549Sometimes, I eat strange-but-good snacks! I also love having variety and don’t like eating the same every day like most people… but nut butter is my addiction 😍
I had a craving for banana and peanut butter because it’s one of my favorite combinations ever🍌🍯

Whipped me up this pita sandwich with creamy Jif, sliced nanner, and dutch cocoa somersaults! These little crunchy snacks are amazing and are made with sunflower seeds! My favorite are probably the cinnamon. I found them at Target (aka the most wonderful place ever)

Ate this before bed because carbs after dark is best ammiright? 👍

Don’t be afraid to eat a little more somedays, I eat a rather dense night snack every night and weight gain doesn’t even happen. It actually gives your body some more fuel to keep your metabolism running all night. That’s why if you go to bed hungry, you don’t really wake up that hungry since your body was holding on to what it had instead of using it for the energy you need when sleeping.

Food = FUEL

Turkey Hummus Wrap!

IMG_5542 Ahh, one of my favorite meals! I am a simple girl that likes simple meals most often and this really hits the spot. I can never go wrong with a good sandwich/wrap, salad or soup! I must say that I can really put it away too because I ate all of this and most my friends can barely finish half 😂

Wrap is made with:
•Joseph’s Multigrain Lavish wrap
•Market Pantry Reduced Sodium Oven Roasted turkey
•Provolone cheese
•A generous amount of Sabra’s Spinach Artichoke Hummus
•Spinach🍃

Along side with my baked cinnamon sweet potato (under snacks) and green beans!

Need this fuel to get those muscle gains I want after my shoulder workout today! 💪

You really should try this kind of wrap! You can use any flavor of hummus and cheese to your preferences and it really is so satisfying! A lot better than Subway can do for me 😋

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes🍫🍯

IMG_5484

Where do I begin? Chocolate. Peanut butter. When you put two magical things together, you get something dangerously delicious.
I recently received two free bags of Lean Body For Her chocolate whey and peanut protein. Let me tell you, simply AMAZING! No added artificial sweeteners and very high protein,. This protein blends so well in yogurt, smoothies, and for baking with no nasty aftertaste or grittiness.
I was experimenting in the kitchen and whipped up this heavenly stack of pancakes! I don’t know about you, but starting your day off with this 👆 is absolutely perfect ❤️

Recipe:
•1 scoop chocolate whey
•1/2 cup Leanbodyforher peanut protein
•2 T oats
•3 T egg whites
•1/4 cup almond milk
•2 T greek yogurt
•1/2 tsp baking powder

Whisk all ingredients together in a medium bowl- adding wet ingredients after combing the dry.
Spray a nonstick pan or pancake griddle and cook on med-low.
Makes about: 7-8 medium to small pancakes
Don’t forget the fun toppings, live a little ☺️ I used creamy peanut butter, mini chips, and peanut butter panda puffs!

Spaghetti Squash & Cheese

IMG_5507 Do you like Mac and cheese but also like to eat your veggies? Me too! 🙋 that’s why I made Spaghetti Squash & Cheese! And it’s sooo simple that a monkey could do it🐵

•Preheat oven to 350 F

•Cut squash in half lengthwise and core out the seeds and fibers. Then place on baking sheet and bake for an hour so that squash is soft and tender.

•Remove from oven and with a fork, scrap the sides of the squash so you get a spaghetti-like strands.

•In a bowl, scoop in half the squash strands and mix in a Laughing Cow Swiss wedge🐮 (or any flavor you prefer) and garlic powder.

•Microwave for about 30 seconds so the cheese melts and mixes and there you have it!

•If you are like me and really love cheese, sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top 😉

*Laughing cow cheese is a favorite of mine! There is so much flavor in just one wedge!*

Cookies N Cream Quest Bar Review 💙

IMG_5496Oh this flavor takes me back to my childhood days filled with Oreos.

IMG_5495-0 When you open the wrapper, you smell sweet vanilla creme chunks with chocolate cookie crumbles. Now many people eat quest bars in different ways, baked, warm, cold…. I think this bar chilled is the best! It reminds me of a cool cookie treat. These are incredibly chewy and satisfying but to be honest isn’t my favorite flavor. However, I won’t turn down any quest bar🙅

White Chocolate Raspberry Quest Bar Review

2015/01/img_5436.png👉Enter White Chocolate Raspberry💕 For those that like the combination of chocolate and fruity…. This flavor won’t disappoint. First off, the chunks! 😍 You are blessed with chunks of white chocolate with a raspberry sweetened base that collide to create something special. I actually prefer these straight from the wrapper but I had the motivation to bake it once and results were pretty great. The white chocolate chunks became soft and melty with a crisp base. Not bad…. Not bad at all. 👍👍

Apple Pie Quest Bar Review

2015/01/img_5434.jpg Just like the Krush bars apple pie flavor, Quest has just the right amount of chunky apple pie flavor. It doesn’t have the peanut butter flavor but when it’s baked, it’s pretty amazing! I never had this one just out of the wrapper because I simply fell in love with the real flavor that comes out when you bake it. It pairs perfectly with peanut butter/almond butter or just by itself 😝

Roasted Chickpeas

2015/01/img_5407.jpg Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are very versatile and can be used for a variety of dishes, sides, and snacks. I recently tried store bought chickpeas and me being the little chef I am wanted to make my own! I usually have a sweet tooth for snacks but sometimes salty and savory sound good too. Roasting chickpeas make a good nutrient-packed, high fiber snack. It’s really simple to make too:

•Preheat oven to 400 F.
•Rinse and drain a can of chickpeas and pat dry really well. The more dry they are, the crispier they will be. Then add about a tablespoon of olive oil and seasonings of your choice. (I used Mrs. Dash Italian seasoning and garlic powder)
•Line a glass container with parchment paper and pour in chickpeas.
•Roast for 45 minutes until crispy.
🔸Savory snack ideas:
Italian seasoning, garlic powder, curry powder, sea salt, pepper, BBQ seasoning, parmesan cheese
🔹Sweet Tooth:
Combination of cinnamon, brown sugar & nutmeg, honey, agave, or cocoa powder

Smores Quest Bar Review and Mugcake

2015/01/img_5426-0.png Quest bars are my favorite protein bar ever. It is pure heaven in my mouth👅💦 I remember when I had my first ever one a couple years ago and didn’t really like it. After a few tries again and different flavors, they have become one of my favorite snacks. There are so many to choose from for your preferences! The newest flavor- Smores- is PHENOMENAL! The base is soft and marshmellowy with chunks of graham cracker and chocolate!🍫 This is perfect just the way it is out of the wrapper but I have heard people like baking it as well. Personally, I prefer them raw since I like a chewy denser bar but try it out yourselves and give it your best judgement 😉
MUGCAKE RECIPE:
2 T coconut flour
2 T Cellucor Corfetti whey (or any protein powder)
1/3 c almond milk
1/3 c egg whites
1/3 tsp baking powder
Mix well and use a sprayed ramekin or small bowl to microwave for about 2 minutes!
